The latest Ipad is going to be the cheapest Ipad till date, with specs defeating ipad air 2

Apple has announced the latest iteration of Ipads, this one bringing a completely new dimension to this species, with a jaw dropping price of just $329 for the basic variant, this is for sure going to be the hot favorite topic on the 24th of march at its launch.

Sadly for the existing Ipad air 2 users like me, this will be available for a considerably cheaper price($70 cheaper than Air 2) with somewhat better specs( A8X in the Air 2 versus the new A9 chipset in the upcoming tablet).

There won't be support for the apple pencil
and the smart connector.

This, however, won't support the Apple pencil, nor will it have the Smart connector, like the pro series of the Ipads, but that is very well acceptable, considering you can buy almost 4 of these Ipads for the price of one Ipad air pro model.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be available at $329 for the 32GB WiFi version while the 128GB model will be available at a somewhat higher price ($429). There is also an LTE version of each for an additional $130 .

As far as the specs go, it offers top notch specs, with most of the things being upgraded over the Air 2, with an added thickness which is not much (7.5 mm for the new model vs 6.9 mm of Ipad air 2).

Other specs include:

9.7-inch Retina display(2048×1536 pixels)

64-bit A9 chip

10-hour battery life

iOS 10

8MP and FaceTime HD cameras

Touch ID fingerprint sensor

469 grams

Wi-Fi and 4G LTE

Our verdict:
Apple for sure knows how to target its customers, among those expensive ones, there are always cheaper variants of apple devices available which still offer value over their android counterparts, and this is probably the reason why it is still on top of the game.
The ipad is going to be unveiled tomorrow, the 24th of march, and it would change the tablet market yet another time.
If you are planning to buy an ipad, this is for sure a better choice in terms of specs and budget as well.
