Lenovo Vibe K5 Note, noteworthy?

Lenovo has launched a new handset in the mid range segment, dubbed K5 note, which, according to the company, is a 'noteworthy' device. Why? Well, till the time you finish with this article, you might have an answer.

Starting out with the looks of the phone, it belongs to the same old mid range metal unibody design as seen in a lot of devices like the Xiomi redmi note 4, LeEco devices, and it resembles a lot of Lenovo's own existing devices as well.
The phone is available in three color variants: Gold, grey and silver. Again, we could not make out anything noteworthy so far.

The device is pretty thick too, at 8.49 mm, it certainly is not for those who crave a slimmer profile ( plus a 165 g phone is pocket heavy as well).

The device has a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display which is kind of a regular fashion now. It has a pixel density of 401 ppi. With an IPS display which is 178 wide angle, and a good contrast ratio, the display won't disappoint and that is for sure, c0nsidering the company's reputation of creating good display handsets.

Memory and OS:

The phone is available in 3 gb/ 4 gb ram variants and 32 gb / 64 gb internal memory variants. Honestly, if you ask me, I would suggest you to go for the higher end variant as there is not much of a price difference. The storage is expandable upto 128 gb using an external sd card, and OTG is supported.

And this is the first 'noteworthy' thing in the phone, there are not many phones in this price segment which offer 64 gb of internal memory, so thumbs up for that.

Talking about the OS, the device runs Android Marshmallow on top of the Lenovo's own UI which is pretty much stock like. Whether the device would get nougat update or not, we still do not have any confirmation about it, but if at all it gets nougat, it would be the last update that is almost certain (uh Oh: Did yOu knOw Android O is Out?)

A 13 mp rear camera with PDAF and an 8 mp fixed focus front camera is a pretty usual sight now,  and this phone again bores us with the routine. While images at night should look good as the camera comes with 5-pieces Composite Lens (Samsung, 1/3.06 inch, 1.12 um), there certainly is not much we can talk about as far as camera front is the point of the talk.

Width           75.7 mm
Height          152 mm
Depth           8.49 mm

Battery & Power Features:

Battery Capacity    3500 mAh
Battery Type           Li-Ion Polymer

Final verdict:

While there are not much of noteworthy features inside, still it is a power packed phone ( Not considering the Helio chipset while writing this, still no clue as why companies can not get rid of it ) and this is definitely a go-for if you require a phone with a good display with a decent memory and a not so cluttery UI.

The phone is available at flipkart at a price of 13,499 for the higher memory model and 12,499 for the other one.
